CRAPS & ROULETTE
Posted on August 22nd, 2013 by Carte Blanche CasinoMany people have seen these exciting games played on the big screen, perhaps by a certain British government agent that prefers martinis, but not everyone understands the amazing opportunities available at the craps and roulette tables.
To allow a better appreciation of these timeless games, and to show just how much fun they could be for parties, here’s a breakdown of both.
CRAPS – Players bet on the outcome of rolling dice. Each round of shooting the dice has two phases: come-out and point. A come-out roll of 2, 3, or 12 resulting in “craps” and anyone betting beyond the Pass Line loses. Wagers placed on either side of the pass line, indicating a player’s guess as to the outcome of the roll. Rolling a 7 or 11 is a win in this phase. If the shooter rolls a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 then this establishes the point and the same number must be rolled again prior to rolling a 7. This begins the point phase, and players now bet on the outcome of matching the point by any combination of rolls (for example, if the point is set at 8, then the shooter could roll 6-2, 4-4, or 5-3). During the come-out phase, if a 12 is rolled then Pass Line bets lose and Don’t Pass bets are pushed.
ROULETTE – A wheel with various numbers and color designations is spun in one direction, and a ball is rolled against the wheel in the opposite direction. Players can bet on which number the ball will land on, which color it will land on, if it will land on an odd or even number, or a select number of pockets that the ball will land on. The payouts for the various forms of betting are based on the probability of outcome.
